260 deportees from Sabah arrive in Tawi-Tawi

MANILA, Philippines - Another batch of 260 Filipinos deported from Sabah, many of them carrying sickly infants and children, arrived in Tawi-Tawi Friday night.

Radio dzRH reported early Saturday that the deportees arrived in Bongao town at 7:30 p.m., and social workers quickly attended to them.

The second batch brought to 918 the number of Filipinos deported from Sabah since Aug. 19.

Most of those in the second batch were women with babies and children whose ages ranged from one month to two years. Many children had symptoms of respiratory problems, the report said. - GMANews.TV
