70 distressed OFWs from Kuwait arriving Monday

A batch of at least 70 distressed overseas Filipino workers from Kuwait will be arriving home early Monday morning.

The OFWs are to arrive aboard an Emirates flight (EK-336) at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport Terminal 1 at 6:30 a.m., radio dzBB's Henry Herdillo reported.

Most of the 70 reported problems with their employers such as maltreatment, the report said.

Expected to welcome them at the NAIA are officials of the Overseas Workers Welfare Administration, which will provide temporary accommodations to those who cannot immediately return their homes.

The OFWs will also be helped in getting home to their native provinces. — DVM, GMA News
