1,829 Pinoys in Saudi Arabia served in last mobile consular mission for 2014

Some 1,829 Filipinos based in Saudi Arabia benefited from the Philippine Embassy's last "Embassy on Wheels" consular outreach mission for 2014.

The embassy said the final EOW mission – the 43rd this year – was held at the Al Jazeera International School in Al Khobar, Eastern Province on Dec. 19 and 20.

It said the EOW team processed:

- 464 e-Passport applications
- six lost e-Passport applications
- 195 notarial services
- 26 birth registrations
- 12 passport extensions

The team also released 1,123 new e-Passports.

Consul General Marshall Louis Alferez, who led the team, thanked Filipino community leaders and volunteers in Al Khobar for their support and help.

“This was the last EOW for this year and the Embassy hopes to increase the frequency of consular outreach missions next year so that more Filipino nationals are served,” he said.

The next EOW is scheduled at the Al Jazeera International School in Al Khobar on Jan. 9 and 10. Joel Locsin/LBG, GMA News
