PHL officials in Saudi Arabia map out ‘Embassy on Wheels’ for 2015

Philippine officials in Saudi Arabia have mapped out for 2015 their schedule of "Embassy on Wheels" mobile consular outreach missions.

The Philippine Embassy in Riyadh said most of the EOW missions for the year will provide various consular services.

Except for those in the 2nd Industrial City in Riyadh and the five-day schedules in Al Khobar, theEOW will have the following services:

Passport renewal
New passport for newborn babies
Passport releasing
Lost passport application
Notarial services
Report of Birth registration

On the other hand, the EOWs in the 2nd Industrial City in Riyadh and the five-day schedules in Al Khobar will only provide passport renewal services.

A full schedule is posted on the embassy's website.

Meanwhile, the embassy said passport applicants, except for clients falling under specific criteria, are required to obtain an appointment through the online system on the Embassy’s website at www.riyadhpe.dfa.gov.ph.

Appointment schedules will be available for booking one month before the EOW schedule, it said.

"No appointment, no passport renewal," it added.

On the other hand, the embassy said the schedules may be subject to changes "dependent on the approval of the Saudi Government and other extraneous factors."

It said it will inform the public of any changes in this regard soonest.  Joel Locsin/LBG, GMA News
