Pinay found dead under Hong Kong bridge

A Filipino woman was found dead under a bridge in Hong Kong, and authorities are determining the cause of her death, a report on Hong Kong News said Friday.
The report did not identify the Filipino woman, but described her as a 47-year-old domestic helper whose parents live in Leyte in the Philippines.
Citing Philippine Consulate General officials, the report said the body was found under a bridge in Lohas Park on March 18 but was identified only on March 24 when her ID was found.
Vice Consul Fatima Guzman-Quintin said the police are still determining if the domestic worker committed suicide.
Attaché Hermogenes Cayabyab Jr., PCG-Assistance To Nationals (ATN) section officer, said the victim "fell from a height."
Consul officials have earlier said the number of deaths from suicide among Filipinos in Hong Kong in January 2016 — four — has equaled the cases reported throughout 2015.
Guzman-Quintin said that if the Filipino woman under the bridge had actually killed herself, she would be the fifth suicide case of Filipinos in Hong Kong for this year.
Unpaid debts are said to be the leading cause of suicide among Filipinos in Hong Kong. —KBK, GMA News
