DFA: 24 new COVID-19 cases reported among Pinoys abroad

The number of Filipinos overseas who have contracted COVID-19 reached 5,392 on Sunday, with the Department of Foreign Affairs recording 24 additional infections.
Six more Filipinos, meanwhile, recovered from the illness, bringing the total number of recoveries abroad to 2,231, while patients undergoing treatment are at 2,791.
The death toll also climbed to 370 with seven new fatalities.
The Middle East/Africa still has the most number of COVID-19 positive Filipinos with 3,367 cases, including 125 deaths, 1,327 recoveries and 1,915 undergoing treatment.
Europe follows with 843 patients, including 91 fatalities, 293 recoveries and 459 undergoing treatment.
In the Asia Pacific Region, there are 521 infections, two of whom have died, while 367 have recovered and 152 are undergoing treatment. — Ma. Angelica Garcia/BM, GMA News
