The Philippines is now on the green list for travel to France, the French Embassy said Friday, noting that fully vaccinated Filipinos can enter the country with no restrictions while those who are not vaccinated only need a pre-departure negative test.
An embassy statement said the Philippines' inclusion on the list took effect on March 3.
Vaccinated travelers from the Philippines must only present proof of vaccine status when traveling to France, the embassy said.
If not vaccinated, the following must be presented to the transport operator and border control authorities:
a negative PCR test from less than 72 hours before departure or an antigen (lateral flow) test from less than 48 hours before departure (departure of first flight when there is a layover);
or a recovery certificate (positive PCR or antigen (lateral flow) test dated more than 11 days and less than six months prior to departure)
Children under 12 years old are exempt from these requirements, the embassy said.
France said the travel requirements will not apply to:
trips by residents of cross-border areas (border within a 30 km radius of your residence, and for a duration of less than 24 hours);
work-related trips, the urgent or frequent nature of which makes them incompatible with these tests;
trips by hauliers carrying out their work.
The Philippines' COVID-19 cases have been declining the past weeks — less than 1,000 cases in the past two days.
On Thursday, the country logged 989 infections, bringing its total active case count to 50,458, of which 463 are asymptomatic, 45,510 are mild, 2,773 are moderate, 1,415 are severe, and 297 are critical.
Metro Manila and 38 other areas in the country have eased restrictions and are now under Alert Level 1, meaning establishments, persons, or activities are allowed to operate and work at full on-site capacity, provided minimum health protocols are observed.
Other countries and territories outside the European Union in France's green list are: Angola, Argentina, Bahamas, Bahrain, Bangladesh, Benin, Bolivia, Botswana, Cambodia, Canada, Cape Verde, Colombia, Comoros, Côte d’Ivoire, Saudi Arabia, South Africa, South Korea, Cuba, Djibouti, Equatorial Guinea, Fiji, Gabon, Ghana, Guinea, Guinea Bissau, Honduras, Hong Kong, Mauritius, India, Indonesia, Iraq, Jamaica, Japan, Korea, Saudi Arabia, Singapore, South Africa, United Arab Emirates, Jamaica, Japan, Kazakhstan, Kenya, Kuwait, Laos, Lesotho, Mauritania, Morocco, Namibia, Nepal, New Zealand, Nicaragua, Oman, Pakistan, Paraguay, Peru, Uganda, El Salvador, Samoa, Senegal, Sri Lanka, Taiwan, Tanzania, Togo, Vanuatu, Venezuela, Uganda, Vietnam, Zambia, and Zimbabwe. —Michaela Del Callar/KBK, GMA News
