Job fair held for Pinoy expats in Dubai

Filipinos in Dubai can try their luck at new professions with some 20 companies from different sectors at the Bayanihan Festival 2015 job fair in Al Mamzar Park on Friday.
Among the industries represented at the annual festival are real estate, insurance, hospitality, manufacturing, and retail, Gulf News reported.
Other than employment opportunities, the festival will also offer Filipino games, a parol and tent design contest, choir and cultural dance competition, a singing contest for children, a sports fest, and a variety show with local artists, said organizing head Eng. Cherry Pye Zablan-Torres.
“Bayanihan Festival 2015 is actually a year-end celebration for us Filipinos. It’s our thanksgiving day, at the same time our celebration of the festive season,” Torres told Gulf News.
Return tickets to the Philippines will be given away as prizes and a house in the Philippines will be given to one lucky festivalgoer.
GMA talent Dennis Trillo will also appear as a celebrity guest to entertain the estimated 15,000 Filipinos who are expected to participate in the event. Rie Takumi/KG, GMA News
