A total of 20 Filipinos have now been repatriated from Lebanon as more of them arrived in the Philippines over the weekend, the Department of Migrant Workers (DMW) said.
Among the recent batch of repatriates were children. They were flown to the Philippines due to the rising tension in southern Lebanon between Israel and Hezbollah militants.
The first batch of repatriates of six overseas Filipino workers (OFWs) arrived in the Philippines on November 3. Ten more OFWs landed int the country the following day.
The Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) on October 21 raised Alert Level 3 in Lebanon, making the repatriation for Filipinos there voluntary.
