Remains of OFW killed in California arrive in Cebu
MANILA, Philippines - Remains of an overseas Filipino worker (OFW) killed in San Diego, California arrived home in Cebu Wednesday afternoon, a report said.
GMA regional network news Balitang Bisdak said that the body of Parmenia Melanson arrived from the United States at 2 p.m.
Parmenia was reportedly killed by her husband Frederick Melanson, a German national.
Her twin sister Eugenia said they were informed of Parmenia’s death on April 16, and that her husband killed her by stabbing.
Eugenia said that her twin was silent about her marital problem, and that her death came as a painful surprise.
Parmenia had been in California for 20 years, but she never failed to give support to her siblings back home, Eugenia said.
Her remains will be brought to Bangbang village in the town of Balamban, Cebu.
