Remains of Pinay murdered by husband found
The remains of Marie Carlson, who went missing in 2011, were finally found in the yard of the former home of her husband.
Authorities say dental records were used to identify the 37-year old Filipina from Fort Walton Beach who was killed by James Flanders, her husband in a polygamous marriage.
Flanders, a former pastor, fathered Carlson's baby. He recently confessed to authorities that he held the Filipina in a tight bear hug until she stopped moving and then buried her body in the yard.
Carlson and Flanders were reportedly arguing over how to take care of their baby.
Flanders avoided the second degree murder charge by agreeing in a plea deal to show authorities where he buried the Filipina's body.
He will be sentenced on July 19 for manslaughter. He may serve up to 15 years in prison.
