24/7 VIP lounge for OFWs opened at NAIA Terminal 1 --- By JISELLE ANNE C. CASUCIAN, GMA Integrated News

The 24/7 free VIP lounge for overseas Filipino workers officially opened at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport Terminal 1, according to a dzBB report by Sam Nielsen on Sunday. The lounge was to be the first among many OFW lounges that would be opened in international airports in Metro Manila, Clark, and Cebu. The lounge offered a variety of food and beverage options, along with comfortable chairs, Wi-Fi, and charging areas for OFWs awaiting their flights. The project, which was a joint effort of the House of Representatives, the Overseas Workers Welfare Administration (OWWA), the Department of Migrant Workers, and the Manila International Airport Authority, aimed to be a gift for “modern-day heroes.” House Speaker Martin Romualdez said that the project was in line with President Ferdinand Marcos Jr.’s directives that OFWs be provided ample space in airports. — DVM, GMA Integrated News
