100 OFWs who availed of Kuwait amnesty arrive at NAIA

About 100 overseas Filipino workers who availed of Kuwait's amnesty program in Kuwait arrived in Manila on Tuesday morning.
The repatriated workers arrived at Ninoy Aquino International Airport Terminal 1 via Qatar Airways 934 at around 6 a.m., according to a report on Unang Balita by Bernadette Reyes.
The Overseas Workers Welfare Administration gave each OFW P5,000 as cash assistance.
The Department of Foreign Affairs likewise handed the OFWs P5,000 each as cash assistance.
Some of the OFWs claimed they were abused by their employers, and others were sexually harassed. There were others who stayed in Kuwait for about three months only.
Others however had stories of success, such as in the case of OFW Maria Victoria Custodio, who was able to acquire a house, a motorcycle, and was able to send her children to school. —Jamil Santos/KG, GMA News
