Duterte, Honeylet spend dinner with friends in Hong Kong
President Rodrigo Duterte took time off to spend dinner with friends in Hong Kong on Wednesday, a day prior to his expected appearance before thousands of Filipino workers there.
Photos released by Malacañang show that among those present during the dinner at the Harbourview Hong Kong were Duterte’s common-law partner Honeylet Avanceña, Special Assistant to the President Christopher “Bong” Go, Foreign Affairs Secretary Alan Peter Cayetano, and Chief Presidential Legal Counsel Salvador Panelo.
Duterte also posed with his signature fistbump with the guests in what the Palace described as a dinner with “old friends” from Hong Kong.
The President had no scheduled official engagement for Wednesday, the penultimate day of his four-day trip to China that included an attendance to the Boao for Asia Forum and bilateral meeting with Chinese President Xi Jinping on the sidelines of the international event held in Hainan province.
He is set to address the Filipino community on Thursday night in the bustling Chinese special administrative region before leaving for Davao City.
