PCSO Turns Over LGU Shares to the City Government of Muntinlupa

Ramos Muntinlupa City – The Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office (PCSO) turned over a check to the Mayor of Muntinlupa City representing the share of the local government uni(LGU) from Small Town Lottery (STL) sales in Muntinlupa City for the months of July to September 2022. PCSO General Manager Melquiades A. Robles, together with Charity Assistant Department Manager Atty. Marissa O. Medrano, personally handed over the check amounting to P488,108.06 to Mayor Ruffy B. Biazon on January 11, 2023 at his office in Muntinlupa City Hall.Prior to this, the PCSO also released a check representing LGU Lotto Share for the first semester of 2022 amounting to P1,643,916.59, which was officially received by the City Treasurer of Muntinlupa on December 29, 2022 at thePCSO Main Office in Mandaluyong City. Mayor Biazon was very pleased with the arrival of GM Robles in his office and the assistance provided by the PCSO. The Mayor mentioned that the share will help augment their funds in bringing more programs and services for his constituents. “Kami po ay natutuwa at nagagalak na nagreach out mismo sa ating bayan ang PCSO para magextend ng assistance. Sa dami po ng mga kababayan natin na nangangailangan, napakalaking tulong po nito para sa kanila. Maraming salamat po PCSO.” Small Town Lottery (STL) shares are granted to cities/municipalities and provinces in accordance with the 2020 STL Revised Implementing Rules and Regulations. The grant of Lotto shares is pursuant to Executive Order No. 357-A, which allocates 5% of the PCSO Charity Fund to local government units in cities/municipalities and 2% to provinces where Lotto tickets are sold. “PCSO: Hindi Uurong Sa Pagtulong”
