3 Pinoys nabbed over illegal entry in Malaysia

Three Filipinos were caught attempting to enter Malaysia via Semporna outside the prescribed sea route by marine police patrolling Sabah's sea borders with the Philippines, The Star reported.
Eastern Sabah Security Command (Esscom) arrested three immigrants aged 34 to 55 while police carried out Ops Gelora Khas, aimed to bar illegal migrants entry through Malaysian waters near Semporna.
Datuk Wan Abdul Bari Wan Abdul Khalid, ESSCOM commander, said the boatman that carried three Filipinos did not have valid travel or identification documents.
Two of the passengers also had neither while a third had a valid IMM13 card for Filipino refugees from Malaysia's Immigration Department.
Philippine currency worth RM 8,500 and the 15HP boat that bore the Filipinos were seized by police, who are now carrying out investigations for human trafficking and migrant smuggling. —Rie Takumi/KBK, GMA News
