Israel needs hotel, tourism workers; KSA to hire 1k female nurses —POEA
In a month's time, Israel's hotel and tourism industry will begin accepting Filipino workers, and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia's health ministry is in need of Filipino nurses.
Philippine Overseas Employment Administration's Undersecretary Bernard Olalia told "Unang Balita" on Thursday that Israel's hotel and tourism industry will be needing foreign workers, specifically Filipinos.
"Mga October ay pwede na tayo mag-apply, Pinoy talaga ang gusto ng Israel kaya magandang opportunity ito."
On the other hand, the Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA) said Filipinos have a lot of skills and the can surely compete in the labor market.
"Kung mas kaya nilang mag-pa-assess ng mas maraming National Certificate Level 2 much better para at least yung mga employer mas masaya sila kung mas maraming kayang gawin yung ating employee," TESDA's Deejae Juanta said.
Aside from Israel, the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (KSA) is also in need Filipino workers.
According to KSA's Ministry of Health, they are in need of 1,000 female nurses with a monthly salary of P60,000 —excluding a host of benefits, such as free fare and accommodation, among other perks.
"We assure their safety kasi may magandang track record ang ministry of health ng saudi at hindi sila mga mananatili sa mga bahay kundi sa government facilities," POEA's Olalia said.
But Olalia reminds prospective applicants: "Kailangan munang mag rehistro sa POEA website bago pumunta sa head office. Tiyakin na sa POEA lamang mag apply at huwag mag papabiktima sa illegal recruiters." —LBG, GMA News
