OFW from Saudi Arabia appeals for payment of her salary for 5 months

A 45-year-old household service worker in Saudi Arabia who hails from Pangasinan claims her employer has not paid her salary for five months, and that she was only allowed to eat once a day, and made to work for more than 20 hours daily.
GMA News' Saksi on Tuesday night reported that Raquel Reyes, who had worked for three years in Saudi Arabia, has not been paid her salary for five months of work.
Also, she claimed she was only allowed to eat once a day and made to work for over 20 hours daily.  Thus, when she was permitted to have a vacation, she decided not to come back to her employer.
She arrived in the Philippines last August 3.
"Kaya po ako nag-OFW para sa pamilya ko po. Pero yung sahod ko ginigipit," Reyes told Saksi.
According to her, her unpaid salary for five months is about P100,000.
Pagasinan Provincial Migration and Development Council chairman Alex Ferrer asked Reyes to file a formal complaint before his office.
"Meron siyang deploying agency dito sa Pilipinas at 'yun muna ang umang hahabulin para ayusin 'yung problema ng worker sa employer niya. Yan muna ang unang habulin," Ferrer said. —LBG, GMA News
