OFW killed, 5 others hurt as car plunges into ravine in Saudi Arabia --- By GMA Integrated News

An overseas Filipino worker was killed while five others were injured after their car fell into a ravine 150 meters deep in Saudi Arabia. According to a report on "Saksi," the six were on vacation in the mountains of Al Bahah when the accident happened on June 28. One the OFWs got thrown out of the vehicle. The fatality was brought to the ICU but succumbed to injuries on Thursday. The Migrant Workers Office is coordinating with authorities so the remains would be returned to the Philippines. "Na-interview natin yung driver, sabi niya biglaan na lang daw may kumalabog... Dun sa 10th tunnel, dun nagkaroon ng aksidente," MWO labor attache Roel Martin said. "Kasi may harang naman, pero sa kasawiang-palad, na-shoot sila sa walang harang," he added. The driver of the car is in the custody of authoriries while the incident is being investigated. —NB, GMA Integrated News
