DFA: No jobs for Pinoy workers in Israel hotels
MANILA, Philippines - The Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) on Saturday warned jobseekers against seizing offers for hotel jobs in Israel.
The Philippine embassy in Tel Aviv belied reports that the post is processing job orders for hotel workers.
"Everyone is enjoined to immediately report recruitment activities for hotel workers in Israel to the Philippine Embassy or Israel's Ministry of Labor," the embassy in Tel Aviv said in a statement posted on the Foreign Affairs website Saturday night.
The embassy said Filipinos seeking employment in Israel should communicate with the Philippine Embassy and the Philippine Overseas Labor Office (POLO) to avoid being victimized by unscrupulous agents and illegal recruiters.
At the POLO, jobseekers could verify the legality of job orders and the status of employment agencies’ accreditation with the Philippine Overseas Employment Administration. - GMANews.TV
