Pinoy nabbed with handgun outside Disneyland faces multiple raps

A Filipino who was arrested for gun possession outside Disneyland is facing three firearms-related charges, and is scheduled to be arraigned on August 27, the KTLA news website reported earlier this week.

According to the report, the suspect Percival Aguilar Agoncillo Jr. was charged with carrying a loaded firearm in public, possession of a firearm by a felon, and possession of ammunition by a prohibited person.

The 44-year-old Filipino managed to sneak his handgun past security checkpoint in an area between the park and Disney California Adventure (DCA) before he was taken in, ABC 7 reported.

According to Disneyleaks, a blog dedicated to news about the entertainment company, Agoncillo was able to ride the Tower of Terror attraction in DCA with his handgun.

He allegedly testified before police that he saw "the ghosts of his dead father and grandfather" on the ride and was persuaded by "voices in his head" to shoot his gun after a passing jet plane disturbed his father and grandfather.

KTLA quoted Sgt. Daron Wyatt of Anaheim police saying that they were "not aware" of the Filipino's alleged plans to "endanger or harm anyone".

CBS Los Angeles
said Agoncillo posted a bail of $20,000 but was taken back to custody after another firearm was located in his home. -Rie Takumi/NB, GMA News
