Deadline for reactivation of overseas voting records extended
The Commission on Elections (Comelec) has extended the period of filing for Application for Reactivation from October 31, 2015 to December 9, 2015, the Department of Foreign Affairs announced Tuesday.
According to the Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA), OFWs may file a copy of a duly accomplished Application for Reactivation (OVF No. 1G) via e-mail to overseasvoting.reactivation@comelec.gov.ph or fax to (0632) 521-29-52.
They may also mail or personally hand it and any necessary attachments to the Office for Overseas Voting (OFOV) in the Comelec main office in Manila or the nearest embassy, consulate, mission, or Manila Economic and Cultural Office (MECO).
OVF No. 1G is available at the same offices and may be downloaded from the Comelec (www.comelec.gov.ph) and DFA-OVS (www.dfa-oavs.gov.ph) websites.
Meanwhile, the Comelec has concluded the period for OFWs to have their registration records transferred from the overseas registry to their municipality/city/district in the Philippines on Monday.
