OFW in Saudi falls from 3rd floor of building after running away from employer
A female overseas Filipino worker in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia fell from a building while running away from her employer on Wednesday.
The victim said she fell from the third floor of the building where she was staying with her employer.
The OFW said she has been working for her employer for more than three months as domestic helper when she was left with no choice but to run away. Her employer allegedly falsely accused her of stealing, and started physically abusing her, she told GMA News at the hospital where she was brought.
The victim said her employer was kind at first but changed attitude.
She said she had no idea how she ended up in the hospital after she fell.
The OFW admitted she is scared her employer may get her after discovering she ran away.
Some Filipina nurses at the hospital told GMA News the woman had some broken bones but will not be paralyzed.
The victim will undergo surgery in a few days.
