DFA ends travel agencies' reserved slots for passport appointment

MANILA - The Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) announced Monday that it has removed 1,200 passport appointment slots that used be reserved daily for travel agencies.
The DFA said these slots will now be given to regular applicants.
Ricarte B. Abejuela III, acting director of the Passport Division of the Office of Consular Affairs, said that under the new system, clients of travel agencies will now need to go through the normal process for getting passport appointments.
Abejuela said they have also added 86,889 slots for September. -- with a report from Mike Delizo, ABS-CBN News
