Pinoy wows Milan with bike made of bed frame, other junk

A Filipino-made bike has been drawing attention on the streets of Milan due to its unique look, a report on Balitanghali said Tuesday.
The bike, assembled by Milan-based Norberto Lacap Jr., is made of an old bed frame and other junk, the report said.

The report showed curious onlookers giving the bike a try.
Lacap said he wanted to create his own custom bike after seeing other custom bikes in his travels around the world.
"Nakikita ko dito sa iba, sa Amerika, sa ibang bansa, sa Germany, nabuo sila ng sariling [bike]. May mga idea na rin ako," he said.
Strangers have offered up to P72,000 just to own the unique bike, which was made from parts Lacap scavenged from second-hand shops.
"Nakita ko yung tubo ng kama. Sabi ko, bisikleta 'to dahil may mga curve na siya. Dun ako nagsimula, yung idea ko nagtuloy-tuloy na sa utak ko," Lacap, a Milan resident of 15 years, said. Rie Takumi/KBK, GMA News
