Madinah emir honors Pinoy nurse who was stabbed by patient

The Filipino nurse in Saudi Arabia who was wounded after he was repeatedly stabbed by an angry patient last month was honored by the Emir of Madinah, the Saudi Gazette reported Thursday.
Madinah health affairs director Abdulhameed Al-Sobahi presented the gift to Rolando Mina in behalf of Emir of Madinah Prince Faisal Bin Salman.
According to Al-Sobahi, the emir has been following up on the case and health condition of Mina since the incident made headlines.
The hospital's medical director, Dr. Mohsin Janina, said the emir's gesture "reflected the great importance attached to healthcare professionals' safety and well-being."
Philippine Consul General in Jeddah Edgar Badajos had said the suspect was arrested immediately after the incident, which he described as an "isolated" case. —Margaret Claire Layug/KBK, GMA News
