Pinoys in New Zealand can cast their votes through the mail – PHL envoy
There was no need for Filipinos in New Zealand to personally appear at the Philippine Embassy in Wellington to cast their vote for the 2019 midterm polls in May, the Philippine's ambassador to New Zealand clarified on Monday.
Ambassador Jesus Domingo explained that voting could be accomplished through the post or mail.
Domingo made the clarification after several Filipino voters in New Zealand had called on the embassy to set up voting centers in the country's major cities to facilitate overseas absentee voting.
The ambassador also explained that the embassy's mobile consular services had, from December 2016 until September 2018, roamed all over New Zealand to provide voter registration services to Filipinos. — JP Soriano/DVM, GMA News
