Rush-hour train derails in Hong Kong

Hundreds of passengers had to walk along rail tracks to safety after a rush-hour train derailed in Hong Kong on Tuesday, according to local reports.
The East Rail Line train was arriving at Hung Hom Station in the Kowloon Peninsula at around 8.30 a.m. when it derailed and split into two sections, broadcaster RTHK reported.
The train suddenly swayed and a door flew off before the train stopped, according to the report. While there were no immediate reports of injuries, some passengers were reportedly shaken up.
Television footage showed the cars derailed in a zigzag form across three rail tracks just outside the station.
Train operator MTR Corp. said on its website the service between Hung Hom and Mong Kok East on the East Rail Line was suspended due to an "incident" near Hung Hom, while other train services faced delays.
