Cebu Pacific sets more flights to HK in June
MANILA, Philippines – Starting June 30, Filipinos traveling to and from Hong Kong will find it somehow easier to book a flight as Cebu Pacific plans to have a fourth daily service on its Manila-Hong Kong route.
The additional flight gives Cebu Pacific the earliest departure schedule than any other local airline from Manila at 5:15 a.m., to arrive in Hong Kong two hours later. It would also have the earlier flight back to Manila at 7:55 a.m. on Mondays, Tuesdays and Fridays.
The earliest flight on Wednesdays, Thursdays, Saturdays and Sundays leaves at 5:40 a.m., with the return flight leaving in Hong Kong at 8:25 a.m.
“With our very encouraging passenger loads, we are very happy to provide our guests with this additional service that will make travel to Hong Kong even more convenient," according to Candice Iyog, vice president for marketing and product of Cebu Pacific.
“The additional frequency will also allow travelers to visit Hong Kong early in the morning and return to Manila on the same day,’ she said.
One-way fare to Hong Kong starts from P1,499, plus taxes and surcharges.
With the additional flights, CEB will offer the most direct flights to Hong Kong than any other Filipino airline, operating 76 direct flights weekly from Manila, Cebu, and Davao.
The airline will operate 56 flights weekly to Hong Kong from Manila and 12 flights weekly from Cebu. The airline will also have direct flights to Hong Kong from Davao eight times weekly beginning May 8, 2008.
The additional frequency will translate to a 30 percent increase in capacity for Cebu Pacific’s Manila- Hong Kong service. – GMANews.TV
