A six-year-old Filipino boy was killed after being hit by a taxi in Sharjah in the United Arab Emirates Monday evening, a UAE news site reported early Tuesday.
Gulf News reported the child died immediately after the accident that occurred along the King Faisal Road.
UAE police said the boy was crossing the road on his own when the taxi hit him.
Authorities did not immediately name the child.
The boy's remains were brought to a hospital.
