Thailand will need Filipino English teachers soon —DOLE

Job opportunities for Filipinos  will be available soon in Thailand, according to the Department of Labor and Employment.
Citing information from the DOLE, Balitanghali reported that Thailand needs English teachers.
Last Tuesday, DOLE Secretary Silvestre Bello III revealed that the government is set to sign an agreement with Thailand this April, but it noted that the host country would only hire English teachers in the meantime.
Also, Bello has no idea as to how many English teachers would Thailand need, the television report said.
On the other hand, the Overseas Workers Welfare Administration has announced the launching  of a hotline to be able to deliver speedy response to calls for assistance from distressed OFWs.
OWWA officials have dedicated hotline 1348 for the purpose, GMA News' JP Soriano reported on "24-Oras" last Saturday.
For calls outside Metro Manila, callers need to dial (02) 1348; and for international calls, dial (0632) 1348. The hotline is open 24 hours everyday, the report added. —LBG, GMA News
