NBI finishes reautopsy on OFW slain in Kuwait, results out in a month

The National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) has finished conducting a reautopsy on the remains of Constancia Dayag, the 47-year-old Filipina who was working as a maid and killed in Kuwait.
A Super Radyo dzBB report quoted NBI spokesman and Deputy Director Ferdinand Lavin as saying the NBI obtained sample tissue from the victim and conducted swabbing.
Results of the reautopsy and toxicology test, he said, will be available  after four to five weeks.
Dayag, who died last week after suffering hematoma and concussions, was reported to have also been sexually assaulted by her employer.
Dayag's relatives said she didn't mention being hurt abroad, but there was an instance during a video call with one of her children that they noticed a bruise on Dayag's body.
Dayag who worked in Kuwait for four years, however, dismissed their concern and said that she was the one who caused the bruise.
The deceased OFW was supposed to come home to the Philippines on May 16 but her family learned about her death a day before the said date.
Initial investigation showed that she was beaten and raped. — MDM, GMA News
