DFA raises alert level 4 in Libya, pushes mandatory evacuation
Citing the unstable political and security situation there, the Philippine government raised the alert level in Libya to "4."
The Department of Foreign Affairs said this means mandatory evacuation in response to the "extremely unstable" situation there.
"Under Alert Level 4, the Philippine government undertakes evacuation of about 13,000 Filipinos there as soon as possible while no Filipino national will be allowed to travel to Libya," it said.
It also urges Filipinos in Libya to contact the Philippine Embassy in Tripoli for instructions regarding mass evacuation. — Joel Locsin /LBG, GMA News
