US Embassy closed on Friday, July 4

The United States Embassy in Manila and its affiliated offices will be closed Friday in observance of the 238th anniversary of US Independence.
 
In an announcement on its Facebook page, the embassy said it will resume services on Monday, July 7.
 
"The Embassy of the United States in Manila and its affiliated offices will be closed to the public on Friday, July 4, in observance of the 238th Anniversary of U.S. Independence," it said.
 
Similarly, the Philippine Embassy in Washington D.C. will be closed on July 4 in observance of US Independence Day.
 
In an earlier post on its website, the embassy said it will resume regular working hours on July 7, the Monday after the holiday.
 
July 4 is a federal holiday in the US, marking the adoption of the Declaration of Independence on July 4, 1776. Joel Locsin/NB, GMA News
