Last week, President Benigno Aquino III said Caballo Island, an island near Corregidor, will be home for three weeks of the 138 peacekeepers.
As the AFP's commander-in-chief, Aquino ordered the return to the country of the peacekeepers upon learning of the spread of Ebola virus in Liberia, one of the countries hardest hit by the disease.
Caballo Island, located 2.6 miles east of Corregidor, will have three to four doctors to monitor their condition.
It will have facilities for water desalination, power, and recreation. —Joel Locsin/NB, GMA News
