OFW’s jealous husband abuses own kids on video

Jealous after learning that his wife is allegedly living with another man, a father in General Santos City has vented his ire on his three children, GMA News' Susan Enriquez reported on 24 Oras on Monday.
The father even took videos of how he abused the kids, the youngest being three years old, reportedly so that he can show them to his wife, who is a domestic worker in Kuwait.
The videos have since gone viral on social media.
In one video, the man was seen beating his six-year-old son, who was crying and trying to run away from him.
The father then shifted his focus on his two daughters aged eight and three years. He was seen beating his youngest daughter even after she fell on the ground.
In another video, the father seemed to be strangling the youngest daughter, who was crying and was obviously in pain, as she tried to remove the rope around her neck.
The videos have reached the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD), which immediately rescued the three kids with the help of the police.
"Such case like this one na talagang involved ay mga minor, we cannot wait kasi 'yung immediate na gagawin mo talaga is the protective custody sa mga bata," said Miramel Laxa, a social worker.
"The tatay also needs help... baka nga may pinagdaraanan talaga siya. But definitely for now talagang hindi muna ipagkakatiwala sa kanya 'yung mga bata," she added.
The father was not in the house when the police and social workers came on Monday morning to rescue the children.
For now, the children will be temporarily sheltered in one of DSWD's residential care facilities, according to Laxa.
"Doon muna 'yung temporary custody ng mga bata while we are doing this parallel intervention, 'yung pag-contact sa mother and then kung ano pa 'yung puwede ibigay na tulong dito sa mga bata," she said. —KBK, GMA News
