More than 333K OFWs repatriated amid pandemic —Lorenzana

Published November 30, 2020 10:23pm A total of 333,697 overseas Filipino workers (OFWs) have so far returned home amid the COVID-19 pandemic, Defense Secretary Delfin Lorenzana said. The National Task Force Against COVID-19 chair made the report to President Rodrigo Duterte during a meeting in Malacañang on Monday night. Lorenzana also said the NTF is monitoring areas with slight increases in COVID-19 cases such as Iloilo City, Tacloban, Iligan, Davao del Sur and Davao City. He said the NTF has already sent more medical personnel to Davao, where cases have been rising. So far, the country has recorded a total of 431,630 cases of COVID-19 including 8,392 deaths. — Ma.
