Hotel sa Nevada nag-aalok ng trabaho sa mga Pinoy

Nasa Pilipinas ngayon ang ilang opisyal ng Peppermill Hotel and Casino sa Nevada, USA para maghanap ng mga manggawang Pinoy na magtatrabaho sa kanila bilang mga room attendant, cook at iba pa.

Sa ulat ng GMA 7 news 24 Oras nitong Lunes, ilang aplikanteng Pinoy na ang isinalang sa job interview ng corporate director ng human resources ng hotel para sa 184 bakanteng posisyon sa hotel-casino.

“This is a great untapped source of people. We have just… we have a lot of Filipinos working in Reno area (USA) they are wonderful in guest service," pahayag ni Carol Steward, corporate director of human resources ng Peppermint Hotel and Casino.

Idinagdag ni Osvuldo Carillo, executive housekeeper ng hotel na gusto nila ang mga Filipino dahil sa kanilang kasipagan. “Filipinos are hard workers. They are very proud of what they are doing and they never complain. They are willing to work over time. In other words, they are excellent employees."

Ayon kay Romy Redelicia, president and CEO ng Yes Human Resources Int’l, ang paghahanap ng trabaho sa US ay tulong nila sa mga Filipino na nais makapagtrabaho sa Amerika at mailayo sila sa mga manlolokong recruiter.

“Marami ang magaling na Filipino and the availability of jobs here is a big question so it’s really the desire of the company to provide at least a good paying job for Filipinos. And a lot of Filipinos wanted to go to the US and this is a big opportunity for them," sabi ni Redelicia.

Ang mga aplikante na makapapasa sa interview ay inaasahang makaaalis patungong US sa Oktubre. Nagkakahalaga ng $8 o P400 kada oras ang paunang bayad sa mga makapapasa.

Gayunpaman, ang mga aplikante pa rin ang kailangang magbayad sa pagpoproseso ng mga kailangang dokumento at tiket sa eroplano.

Sa Martes ay inaasahang makikipagkita ang mga opisyal ng hotel kay Rosalinda Baldoz, ang pinuno ng Philippine Overseas and Employment Administration (POEA) upang pag-usapan ang pagpupuno sa mga bakanteng pwesto sa hotel-casino. - Fidel Jimenez, GMANews.TV
