OFW who shot dead live-in partner surrenders to cop
MANILA, Philippines — An overseas Filipino worker (OFW) who shot dead his live-in partner during an argument in Davao City last Monday has surrendered to police, an online news site reported Saturday.
Mindanao Daily Mirror (www.dailymirror.ph) reported that Romeo Batuigas, 30, turned himself in to Digos City police days after shooting dead Catherine Ramirez, 25.
The incident took place inside the couple’s house in Doña Aruella Subdivision in Sasa village in Davao City last Monday morning.
Investigation showed Batuigas shot dead Ramirez, an HRM student at the Philippine College of Technology (PCT), during an argument inside their home on the morning of May 4.
Batuigas rushed Ramirez to the hospital but fled after learning that she had been declared dead on arrival by attending physicians.
A criminal case for homicide has already been filed against Batuigas. - GMANews.TV
