Pinoy family quarantined in Macau over A(H1N1)
MANILA, Philippines - A Filipino couple and their three children were quarantined in Macau after getting in contact with a confirmed A(H1N1) patient, the Department of Foreign Affairs said late Wednesday.
In an update on its Web site, the DFA said that while the five tested negative, they would still be quarantined seven days.
"All five members of this family were tested negative but nevertheless will be quarantined for seven days from the day they got in contact with a confirmed A(H1N1) patient," it said.
It did not elaborate on when the family came into contact with the patient.
The DFA said the Philippine post in Macau learned of the incident after getting information from the Macau Health Department.
"The Consulate was able to contact this Filipino family over the phone to check on their health condition and also contacted their immediate relatives in the Philippines," it said. - GMANews.TV
