Pinoys in HK reminded to be careful of A(H1N1) virus
MANILA, Philippines - Filipinos in Hong Kong were reminded to stay vigilant and take needed precautions against the A(H1N1) virus after the confirmation of a third A(H1N1) case there.
The Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) said the Philippine post in Hong Kong reiterated its call to the Filipino community and those traveling to Hong Kong to take needed measures.
"Post called on Filipinos in Hong Kong to remain vigilant against A(H1N1) influenza in view of the confirmation by authorities of the city’s third imported case of A(H1N1)," the DFA said in its website Monday night.
It also said the Philippine Consulate reiterated its earlier call on the Filipino community and those traveling to Hong Kong to observe precautionary measures against A(H1N1).
Meanwhile, in New York, the Philippine consulate general issued a press release advising Filipino-Americans in Northeast States to take precautionary measures and stay vigilant to avoid getting the virus. - GMANews.TV
