DFA: No reports of Pinoy casualties in Hong Kong ferry collision so far
No Filipino has so far been listed among the casualties of a ferry collision in Hong Kong Monday evening, the Department of Foreign Affairs said Tuesday.
An Agence France-Presse article said a total of 36 people died in the tragedy.
A report by radio dzBB's Sam Nielsen quoted DFA spokesman Raul Hernandez as saying that they are coordinating with Hong Kong authorities to check if Filipinos were among the casualties.
As of 7:42 a.m., no Filipino was reported to be among those killed in the incident.

The collision between a vessel with more than 120 people on board and a passenger ferry took place off Yung Shue Wan on Lamma Island.
A report on Radio Television Hong Kong said survivors recalled the water level inside the stricken vessel rising quickly before the boat sank.
Search operations are continuing for other survivors.
The RTHK report said the Hong Kong government has set up a hotline at 1878 999 for the public to check on those affected. — RSJ, GMA News
