Gulf News said the Filipina admitted that she became pregnant after having sex with a Filipino, who has already left the UAE.

The Filipina then provided the passport photocopies to the hospital where she gave birth and obtained a document indicating she was the mother.
She then submitted that paper to the Preventive Medicine department to process an official birth certificate.
The report said the Filipina told her colleague, also a Filipina, that UAE authorities needed their passports for a routine checkup.

"We gave her the passports and she returned them after a short period. During March we came to know that (the Filipina) got arrested for being involved in a criminal case. We discovered that she used my passport and my husband’s to issue a birth certificate to her daughter Isabel," said the victim of identity theft.
The victim said she and her husband were registered as the newborn child’s parents, prompting them to report the matter to the police. - VVP, GMA News
