Pinay in London charged over alleged botched blood transfusion

A Filipino nurse in London allegedly killed her patient by giving a patient the wrong type of blood during a transfusion procedure.
News site Express identified the Filipina as Lea Ledesma, accused of manslaughter through gross negligence in treating 75-year-old Ali Huseyin at the Heart Hospital in central London.
During a hearing at the Southwark Crown Court, the 48-year-old Filipino nurse denied  that "breaching her duty so seriously" that it led to Huseyin's death last May 2014.
Ledesma, a resident of Stevenage, Hertfordshire, was granted unconditional bail. She will remain free until the court presides over her trial in July.
No other details have been released on the case. Rie Takumi/ALG, GMA News
