PNoy appoints new ambassador to Spain
President Benigno Aquino III has appointed presidential protocol chief Celia Anna Feria as the new ambassador to Spain.
Feria’s appointment papers were transmitted to Foreign Secretary Albert del Rosario and the Commission on Appointments (CA) on December 29, 2015.
“Pursuant to the provisions of Section 16, Article VII of the Constitution and existing laws, you are hereby nominated as Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to the Kingdom of Spain with concurrent jurisdiction over the Principality of Andorra,” the appointment letter signed by Aquino read.
Feria’s appointment is subject to the confirmation og the CA.
Aquino appointed Feria as chief of the presidential protocol under the Office of the President in January 2013. —Kathrina Charmaine Alvarez/KBK, GMA News
