Pinoy restaurant in Guam inspected after maggots-in-chicken claim
A complaint saying a customer "found maggots inside the fried chicken" of a Filipino restaurant in Guam has prompted an investigation, which found the accusation "unsubstantiated."
Reports say a social media post from one customer of Josie’s Special Batchoy and Fast Food in the village of Dededo complaining against maggots had gone viral.
But the Department of Public Health in Guam, in a report, called the accusation "unsubstantiated."
While an inspection by the Department of Public Health and Social Services found several violations, it gave the restaurant a 'B' rating and said it does not have a maggot or fly problem.
The restaurant’s management said it would work to fix the observations made in the report.
