Family of 'abused' OFW in Saudi Arabia asks for assistance

The family of an overseas Filipino worker in Saudi Arabia, who was allegedly abused by her employer, has asked the Philippine government for help, according to a report on GMA News' Saksi on Monday.
"Loida (not her real name)" is hit by her employer every time she commits a mistake, the OFW's child related.
They learned about the abuse through text messages that they received. The sender of the messages was not disclosed by the family.
The family went to the Overseas Workers Welfare Administration (OWWA) to seek the repatriation of "Loida." The agency, meanwhile, pledged to coordinate with the Philippine Overseas Labor Office to act on the request.
The OWWA will also get in touch with the recruitment agency of the OFW in the Philippines.
— BAP, GMA News
