Filipino community in New York holds Philippine Independence Day parade

The Filipino community in New York City marched in Manhattan on Sunday as they participated in the annual Philippine Independence Day Parade.

According to Philippine Embassy in the US, the New York event is one of the biggest Philippine Independence Day celebrations overseas.
Members of the Philippine Mission to the United Nations and the personnel of Philippine Consulate General’s Office continued the parade tradition.

The Filipino community also danced in the middle of Madison Avenue to an OPM song.

In the photos posted by the embassy on Twitter, Philippine flags were flown and many of the participants wore Filipiniana attire.
