Bahrain’s labor minister to visit PH, meet with Baldoz on labor and manpower partnership Labor and Employment Secretary Rosalind Dimapilis-Baldoz yesterday announced that Bahrain’s Minister of Labor H.E. Jameel Bin Mohammed Ali Humaidan will visit the Philippines from 4-7 November to discuss labor matter and manpower partnership, as well as issues and regulations on the deployment of Filipino workers to Bahrain. “H. E. Jameel Bin Mohammed Ali Humaidan, Labor Minister of the Kingdom of Bahrain, is visiting the Philippines. 

He has always expressed his commitment to protect labor rights and provide foreign workers a work environment in accordance with Bahrain’s national laws and international labor standards. His working visit will enhance the cooperation between the Philippines and Bahrain on labor and employment and other related issues," announced Baldoz. During the visit, Baldoz will lead DOLE officials in presenting to the visiting dignitary the DOLE's programs and services where a manpower partnership may be explored. DOLE agencies to take turn in presenting an overview of their respective mandates include the Philippine Overseas Employment Administration, Overseas Workers Welfare Administration, National Reintegration Center for OFWs, and the Professional Regulatory Commission. 

Officials of the Bahrain Labor Market Regulatory Authority who will accompany the Labor Minister, on the other hand, will discuss Bahrain's laws and regulation on foreign workers in the Kingdom. The visit of H.E. Jameel Bin Mohammed Ali Humaidan was initiated by Dr. Amable R. Aguiluz V, Special Envoy of the President to the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC). The Bahraini labor delegation, which will also visit training facilities of the Technical Education and Skills Development Authority, is composed of Minister Humaidan, Dir. Farooq Ameen of the Public and International Relations Department; Dir. Ahmed Al Haiki of the Labour Inspection and Trade Unions; Dir. Eyad Al-Taweel of the Minister’s Office; Dir. Ashraf Emam of the Customer Service; and Acting Dir. Han Al Saffar of the Public Relations and Follow-Up. Baldoz said other activities of the visit will be announced. End/Let Maring
