Pinay in UAE wins P142-M raffle prize


A Filipina won the major prize of Dh10 million equivalent to more than P142 million the Big Ticket Abu Dhabi Series 207 held on Tuesday.
Marelie David, who is based in Dubai in the United Arab Emirates (UAE), was clearly overwhelmed when raffle organizers spoke with her over the phone.
"Richard, you are not teasing me, are you? Because people keep on calling, okay you win this lottery, so and so...,"she told the host.
"I think that's the best blessing for us, especially it's December soon," she added.
A second Filipino also held a lucky ticket number, Dubai-based Lamberto E. Corpus Jr., who won Dh50,000 or more than P710,000. — BAP, GMA News
